"Nelson" was the son of Frank Casey and Mary J. Finnegan Casey. His siblings were his twin sister, Eleanor "Nellie" Mary Casey Frisch 1907–1988; Robert Casey 1911–1995; Joseph Casey 1915–1984; Half siblings (his mother was married to John A. Dougherty before he was killed in the Spanish American War), Helen Dougherty born in 1892; John Alfred Dougherty born in 1894; Elizabeth Bess Dougherty born in 1896; and Martin Edward Dougherty 1899– 1983. He was the husband of Helen Grenfell Casey. Their children were Frank Nelson Casey, Jr., William Robert Casey and Barbara Casey Durante. He was a Philadelphia City Police Officer. He is deeply missed.
