Mary was the daughter of John Finnegan and Jane Longan. She was the wife of John Dougherty whom she married in 1891. Their children were Helen; John; Elizabeth; and Martin E. Dougherty. Her husband John was killed in the Spanish-American war in 1903. Her second husband Frank Casey she married in 1907 and he also served in the Spanish American War. Their children were Eleanor Mary Casey Frisch and twin Nelson Casey; Robert Casey; Joseph Casey and Frank E. Casey. She is deeply missed.

*She is buried with her daughter Helen's husband, John Phelan.
