H. D. Banning 50, farmer and stock raiser of near Cowden passed away at the Palmer Sanitarium in Springfield at 6:45 Tuesday Evening.
Besides his wife, he leaves four children - Rev. Lester Banning of Rushville, Mrs. Waverline Johnson of Decatur and Handley and Eldon Banning of Cowden. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Wilda Banning and two brothers, Fred and Merville, all of Cowden.
Funeral services will be held in the Free Methodist Church in Cowden at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon with Rev. C. H. Coates officiating. Interment will be in the Cowden Cemetery.
