Mrs. Johnson was born Dec. 25, 1913, in Shelby County, the daughter of Henry Delbert and Estella Askins Banning. She was a beautician for Linn & Scruggs and was a member of Moundford Free Methodist Church, Decatur. She married Wilbur K. "Peck" Johnson on April 3, 1937, in Shelby County. He preceded her in death Jan. 23, 1995.
Surviving are her brother, Eldon Banning and wife Joan of Shelbyville; five nephews; three nieces; 15 great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and one sister.
