"Born Feb 10 1875 at the old Middleton homestead. Now the home of C.L. Middleton, bro of the deceased. As a young man worked at his Father's sawmill and helped with livestock, also farmed. On October 12, 1898 he was married to Miss Ella Eason of Appling Co. by F.K. Eason J.P. Of this union the following children were borned.

Mother died when Ella was one year old. He boarded we seven children with Uncle Boy & Aunt Cora. He was widower 7 years. Then he married Miss Inez Robson on Oct. 30, 1918. They had six babies, 3 of which died. Three lived.
Lloyd, Fleeta and Waveney Middleton
Inez died Jan 24, 1928. I kept house for Daddy for 5 years after my husband died. He was Chairman of the Long Co. Comm for a number of years. A member of Middleton Memorial Methodist Church. A friend to everyone.
Was taken sick on July 14, 1937. Operated upon for gangrenous appendicitis, also an abcess on the pelvis, July 16. and on 21st took pneumonia, overed that, then poison from peritonitis killed him."
