VIRGINIA HILL BILLINGS, 92, of Memphis and resident of Kirby Pines Retirement Home, died Thursday afternoon at 4:20 p.m. at Methodist LeBonheur Germantown Hospital. She was a 1935 graduate of Munford High School and was the daughter of the late James W. and Maude Hill of Atoka, TN. She was a long-time member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and retired from Parks-Belk Department Store in Memphis. Mrs. Billings was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Frank Billings and her son, James O. Billings. She is survived by a son, Frank H. Billings and wife, Bettye of Pickwick; a daughter-in-law, Judy Derozier Billings of Elm Grove, WI; four grandchildren, Cindy Billings of Green Bay, WI, Sharon Billings of Pickwick, Gregory Reese Billings of Collierville, Lisa Billings Davis of Tuscumbia, AL; one step-grandson, Ross Derozier of Brazil; three great-grandchildren, Sara Jane, Brandon Reese and Samantha Billings. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 7 at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
