Mrs. Nora Viola (Miller) Hudson, age 92, departed this life Thursday, April 22, 1999, in Pascagoula, MS.
Born March 21, 1907 to Joseph Thomas and Ida (Ladnier) Miller, Mrs. Hudson was a lifelong resident of Pascagoula and she was of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bryan 'Jimmy' Hudson; a son, James Thomas 'J.T.' Hudson; a daughter, Viola Louise 'Sis' Hester; and two infant grandchildren. Andrew Hester, and Darlene Hester; her parents, Joseph and Ida Mae Miller; three brothers, J. 'Malta' Miller, John L. Miller and Hosea C. Miller; a sister, Della Savage and a special friend; Addie (Barton) Pittman.
She is survived by her loving children; two sons, Robert 'Bobby' (Annette) Hudson, Pascagoula and Edward F. (Jackie) Hudson, Moss Point; a daughter, Joyce (Hudson) Price, Pensacola, FL.; daugther-in-law; Shizuko 'Yogi' Hudson, Concord, CA.; two sisters, Celeste 'Tess' (Miller) Ladnier, Lucedale and Alma 'Lou' Miller (Ed) Rockafellor, Gautier; grandchildren; Eddie, Frankie, Jimmy Hudson, Renee Goodman, Don Price, Rob, Ricky and Michael Hudson, Janice Hudson, Sharon Lathan, Tommy Hester and Doylene Hester. 27 great-grandchildren; a special child of her heart; Eddie Barton (#62653109); numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, April 23, 1999 at Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point. Rosary will be said at 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 23, 1999 at 2:00 p.m.. Her grandsons; Don Price (Jr), Rob Hudson (Jr), Rick Hudson, Michael Hudson and great-grandsons; Chuck Hudson and Shaun Goodman will serve as pallbearers.
