Obituary for William Henry Stevens:

W.H.STEVENS, EX-COUNTY JUDGE, DIES William Henry Stevens, 81, died Sunday at his farm home on Dry Creek a short distance north of Saco. He had been critically ill for several months from infirmities of old age, and had but recently returned from a St Louis hospital. He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters. The sons are Riley, Arthur, and Ozroe and the daughters are Mrs. Gloria von Sternberg and Mrs Ida Cook, all of this county. Funeral services were held at the Mt Pisgah church Monday afternoon with Rev. Davis in charge of the services, and the Webb-Holt Funeral Home handling arrangements. Burial was in the nearby cemetery. Mr. Stevens for many years has been an outstanding citizen of the county. The high regard in which he is held is attested by the fact that he was elected to the County Court, one of the few Republicans to be elected from his strongly Democratic district.
