ROCKVILLE--Funeral services for Rebecca Stout Dennett, 77, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Art DeMille, Nov. 16, were held in the Rockyille ward chapel Monday at 1 p.m. Bishop Waldon Ballard was in charge of the services.


Rebecca Alvira Stout was born at South Cottonwood, Jan. 13, 1857, daughter of Allen J. and Amanda Fisk Stout. She married John F. Dennett, April 18, 1872 at Rockville. She became the mother of 12 children, seven surviving. Her husband died Feb. 15, 1933.


She is survived by the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Maggie Hastings, Mesa, Ariz.; John Dennett, Springdale; Mrs. Gertrude Millet, Rockville; Boyd Dennett, St. George; Mrs. Eva Nielson, Cedar City; Mrs. Thora DeMille, Rockville, and Mrs. Vera Allred, Springdale; one brother, Marion F. Stout, Hurricane; 54 grandchidren; 60 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.


She was well known throughout the state as a hostess to the early visitors. to Zion's National park, entertaining President Heber J. Grant, Governor Spry, Douglas White, Joseph Manderfield and many other notables.
