Grover Cleveland Herbert, 54, of 912 3rd Ave. SE, died Sunday at 5:20 p.m. in a local hospital after an extended illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the 5th Ave. Baptist Church, the Rev. Gilbert Speake and the Rev. Wilburn Smallwood officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Guntharp directing.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Elbert Pentecost of Bristol, Tenn; Mrs. Algie Cowan and Mrs. Coy Sowell, both of Decatur; a brother, Nolan Herbert of Decatur; a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Marion Ratcliff, Horace Pentecost, Virgil McDonald, J.W. Morris, Wendell Hawkins and Billy Charles Morris.
