Mrs. T. Roxie Herbert, 71, 912 16th Avenue SE, died in a Hartselle Hospital at 5:45 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral rites will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grace Baptist Church. The body will lie in state from 1 until 2 p.m.
The Rev. Ralph Jones and Rev. Covell Keenum are to officiate. Burial is to be in Roselawn Cemetery, Brown Funeral Co. directing. Pallbearers are to be Horace, C.G., Robert Lee, and Roy Pentecost, Everett McGhee, and J.C. Smith.
The body was returned to the residence about noon today.
Mrs. Herbert is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Coy Sowell, Decatur; Mrs. Gladys Cowan, Decatur; and Mrs. Elbert Pentecost, Bristol, Tenn; two sons, Nolan and Grover Herbert, both of Decatur; two sisters, Mrs. Paul Baker and Mrs. Genny May Webster, both of Huntsville; 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
