Emaline C. Thede, 81, formerly of Rt. 2, New Holstein a resident of Calumet Homestead, New Holstein since June of 1989 died Saturday, March 2, 1991 at the homestead.
She was born Aug. 27, 1909 in Colby, Wis., a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Uhlig) Volkmar.
On June 26, 1929, she married William Thede in Colby, Wis. He preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 1970. Mrs. Thede was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, New Holstein.
Survivors include two sons, Vernon (Ruth Ann) Thede, of Chilton; Roland (Katherine) Thede, of New Holstein; five daughters, Mrs. Alice (Elwood) Hintz of Brillion; Mrs. Laura (John) Bangart of Green Bay; Mrs. Leona Reinemann of New Holstein; Mrs. Edna (Terrance) Ninneman of St. Cloud, Wis. And Mrs. Laverne (John) Cegielnick of Pocatella, Idaho; 28 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; one brother, Oscar Volkmar of Marshfield; one sister, Miss Elfrieda Volkmar, of Owen, Wis.
She was also preceded by two grandsons and three sisters.
Funeral services will at St. John UCC with the Rev. Albert Borns officiating. Burial will be in New Holstein city cemetery.
