WATAGA -- Mrs. Darlene Thompson, 47, Wataga, died at home Wednesday at 5:40 a.m.
She was born May 2, 1933, in Knox County. She married Arnold C. Thompson Nov. 19, 1953, in Galesburg.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Ricky (Carol) Morris, Wataga; seven sons, Robert Briggs, Eugene Thompson, Arnold Thompson, Jr., and Don Thompson, all of Galesburg, Jerry Thompson, East Galesburg, and Jimmy Thompson and Billy Thompson, both of Wataga; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Doris) Thompson, Maquon; three brothers, Eugene Briggs, Clarence Briggs and Wayne Briggs, all of Galesburg, and nine grandchildren.
Funeral will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home, Knoxville, where friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Burial will be in Wataga Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund, the family said.
