GALESBURG- Jimmy A. Thompson, Sr., 44, of Galesburg died at 9:50 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2004, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center
in Peoria.
He was born April 6, 1960, in Galesburg to Arnold Sr. and Darlene Briggs Thompson.
Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Jr. and Joshua, both of Galesburg;one stepdaughter, Delilah "DeeDee" (and Sam) Hill of Maryville,Tenn.; one sister, Carol Morris of Galesburg; and six brothers, Billy Thompson, Arnold Jr. (and Sharon) Thompson and Robert Briggs,all of Galesburg, Jerry (and Mary) Thompson of East Galesburg,
Don Thompson of Rock Island and Eugene (and Doris) Briggs of Maquon; and his fiancee, Wanda Strahlman of Galesburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a driver/carrier for The Register-Mail for six years.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Wataga Cemetery in Wataga. The Rev. Milton Marquith will officiate. Visitation will be
from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville.
