"JAKE" TRESSLER, 85, was a
lifelong resident of LeGore, and was
well known in the Woodsboro area,
where he worked nearly 50 years for
the LeGore Lime Co. until retiring
in 1972.
He belonged to St. John's United
Church of Christ, Woodsboro, the
Glen W. Eyler Post of the American
Legion in Woodsboro and the Frederick
Moose Lodge.
Mr. Tressler leaves many survivors
his second wife, Clara E.
Tressler; eight daughters, Jenette
Willis, Gloria Sodito, Betty Moran,
Nancy Hubble, Shirley Bostian,
Catherine Dayhoff, Darlene Winfield
and Wanda Stitely; one son,
Joseph Garber Jr.; 23 grandchildren
and 3 great-grandchildren; two
brothers, John and Samuel Tressler;
and six sisters, Carrie Wastler,
Edith Banner, Beulah Harman,
Ruth Stead, Pansy Tressler and
Ethel Pittinger.
Services for Mr. Tressler will be
held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Woodsboro
funeral home of D.D. Hartzler,
with interment in Rocky Hill
Cemetery. Friends are being received
7-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
at Hartzler's.
