Mrs. Edith Elizabeth Danner, 91, of 30 Lombard St., Thurmont, died Friday, May 26, at St. Catherine's
Nursing Home, Emmitsburg.
Mrs. Danner was the wife of Albert Merhle Ecker, who died in 1941, and Howard E. Danner, who died in 1974. Born Dec. 10,1903, in Rocky Ridge,
she was a daughter of the late Charles Tressler and Elizabeth Stambaugh Tressler.
Mrs. Danner was a member of the Thurmont Church of the Brethren, Thurmont.
She is survived by two daughters, Audrie E. Coe and husband Andrew of Annapolis, and Doris E. Riser and husband Jack of Lewisburg, Pa.; one son, Albert E. Ecker and wife Janet of Thurmont; four stepchildren, Edwin Danner of Baltimore, Franklin
Danner of Walkersville, James Danner of Thurmont and Lucille Bradley of Milwaukee, Wis.; 14
grandchildren; 27 greatgrandchildren; four great-greatgrandchildren ; five stepgrandchildren; and two sisters, Carrie Wastler of Thurmont and Ruth Stead of Norristown, Pa. Mrs. Danner was preceded in death by a son, Merhle T. Ecker, and two daughters, Winifred E. Brown and Shirley Baker.
Visitation is at the Stauffer
Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St., Thurmont, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 27.
Funeral services will begin there at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 28. The Revs. Linda Lambert and Larry Eby will
officiate. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Thurmont Church of the Brethren, 14 Altamont Ave., Thurmont, Md. 21788.
