ILLNESS FATAL TO MRS. CHLOE FRIES

Mrs. Chloe Mae Fries, 75, of Sage Township, died Tuesday morning following an illness of several months. The former Miss Chloe Mae Adeblue was born Dec. 15, 1883 in Van Wert, Ohio, and was married to George Fries on Nov. 27, 1901. they came to Grout Township in 1902. He preceded her in death in 1937. Mrs. Fries attended the Assembly of God Church. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and was a Blue Star Mother.
Survivor include three sons, Clayton and Delmer, of Edenville, and Robert, of Flint; six daughters, Mrs. Edna Thorington, Mrs. Pearl Wray, Mrs. Pauline Hutson, and Mrs. Viola Gower, all of Gladwin, Mrs. Eileen Pumfrey, of Flint, and Mrs. Janet Flores, of Saginaw; 44 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren; two sisters, and seven brothers. Three sons preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Burdette Faulk will officiate and burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the Miner Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Friday and then at the church until time of services. Gladwin County Record dated 04-01/1959 Column - 8 Page - 1
