Wendell L. Ross, 59, of 198 Parker Road, Buffalo Township, died at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 8, 1994) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, Harrison.
Born February 18, 1934, in Natrona Heights, he lived in Buffalo Township most of his life.
Mr. Ross was employed 22 years as a sub-foreman in the 8-2 department of Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp., Brackenridge Works.
He was an avid hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne McClure Ross; three sons, Harry A. Ross of Buffalo Township, Alan J. Ross of South Buffalo Township, and Robert M. Ross of Cabot; two daughters, Mrs. Tim (Debbie) Zellsman of Buffalo Township and Mrs. Richard (Kathy) Settlemire of Mars; two brothers, Marlin E. Ross of Fawn and Richard C. Ross of Buffalo Township; six sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothea) Delp of Natrona Heights, Mrs. Arthur (Twila) DeMao of Murfreesboro, N.C., Mrs. Ernest P. (Val Jean) Campbell, Mrs. Daniel (Audrey) Ankrom, Mrs. Richard (Shirley) McBee, and Mrs. Harry (Mardell) Humes, all of Buffalo Township.
He was preceeded in death by two sons, Wendell L. and Ronald R. Ross; his parents, Harry A. and Ella Carney Ross; three brothers and a sister.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the RICHARD L. REDMOND FUNERAL HOME, Sixth and High Streets, Freeport, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Eugene Morris, former pastor of Wesleyan Methodist Church in Buffalo Township, will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
