McCOMB - Funeral services for Lester Lawrence Hermon, 74, of McComb, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Hartley Funeral Home, McComb, the Rev. Kempton Oakes officiating. Burial will be in McComb Union Cemetery.
Mr. Hermon died at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Marlesta Nursing Home, Findlay, where he had been a resident for six years.
He was born Nov. 6, 1912 in Putnam County to Lester Dow and Hazel (Rager) Hermon.
He married Lois Rader on May 14, 1938 and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. David (Jeanette) Barrett, McComb; two grandchildren; seven brothers, Calvin, Paul, and Eugene, all of Lima, Francis of Deshler; Milan of Chelsea, Mich., Melvin and Harding, both of McComb; a half brother, Sam Hermon, Racine, Wis.; and three sisters, Mrs. Merril (Faye) Arnold, Beaverdam; Mrs. Ralph (Naomi) Butler, Leipsic; Mrs. Gerald (Katherine) Diller, Ottawa.
Mr. Hermon was the owner and operator of Hermon Machine Shop, McComb until her retired in 1975.
