She was the daughter of John Andrew Holland Sr. and Amanda Owens Harrison Holland. Her father is buried in Buffalo Cemetery in Leon Co, TX and her mother is buried in Harrison Chapel Cemetery in Freestone Co, TX. Clara married Doby Fletcher Lowrance 4 December 1904 in Leon County.

Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Lowrance of 3908 Dempster, a Dallas resident for the last 50 years, were held 2 p.m. Friday at the Cockerell Hill Methodist Church, 4031 West Clarendon, with burial at Five Mile Cemetery,
Mrs. Lowrance died Wednesday in a Dallas rest home after a long illness.
She was an active member of the Cockerell Hill Methodist Church for 38 years and held a lifetime membership in the Women's Society of Christian Service. She was a former recording secretary for the Methodist Hospital auxiliary, and a former member of the C.C. Young Memorial Home Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Irma Lou Smith and Miss Beverly Jeanne Lowrance of Dallas; two sons, William W. Lowrance and Cecil J. Lowrance of Dallas; three halfsisters, Mrs. Jim Graham, Mrs. Olen Hunley and Mrs. Preston Wilcox of Houston; a stepsister, Mrs. Katie Henderson, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
