Sarah Loucretia Holland Lowrance was born in Freestone Co, TX to John Holland and Amanda Owens Harrison Holland. According to her death certificate, her parents were David Lowrance and Ellen Lipe. This is a mistake. They are the parents of her husband, John Sydney Lowrance, who she married 18 November 1894 in Leon Co, TX. After his death, she and their children moved to Dallas, TX where she resided until her death.

Mrs. Sarah Lou, passed away Wednesday at the residence, 420 East Tenth. Survived by two sons, J.D. Lowrance, New Orleans, La.; L.A. Lowrance, Kilgore, Texas; five sisters, Mrs Bertha Peters, Fort Worth; Mrs. Olin Hundley, Houston; Mrs. Jim Graham, Buffalo, Texas; Mrs. Ed Henderson, Fairfield, Texas; a brother, Will Holland, Buffalo, Texas; three grandchildren. Services Thursday, 10 a.m. chapel of Lamar & Smith, Rev. H. Grady May officiating. Additional services 3 p.m. Buffalo, Texas.
