Mrs. Lydia M. Willis, 85, of Caruthersville, died Jan. 8, 1990 at Caruthersville Nursing Center. Born Feb. 26, 1904 in Caruthersville, she was the daughter of Harry and Mattie Berry Cole. She attended Canady Switch School. She was the widow of Robert Leslie Willis. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, Harold Willis of Caruthersville and Bob Willis of Momence, Ill.; Four daughters, Mrs. Deloris Barnard of Steele, Mrs. Norma Counce of Roseville, Calif., Mrs. Claudia Back of Spring, Texas and Mrs. Phyllis Miller of Caruthersville; One brother, Woodrow Cole of Columbus, Miss.; Twenty-five grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were Jan. 11 at 2 p.m. at Central Church of Christ, Jimmy Colvett officiating, with burial n Maple Cemetery, H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville in charge.
Pallbearers were Corey Willis, Harold Willis Jr., Ralph Willis, Dewayne Back, Jerry Leslie Counce and Billy Carter.
