Funeral services for Alvin Lee Gregory, 57 year old east Simpson farmer, are to be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. at Brownlee and Turner Funeral Home.
In charge of the services will be the Rev. Hershel Powell, Scottsville and the Rev. Walter Deweese, pastor of the East Side Baptist Church, Franklin. Burial is to be in Greenlawn.
Mr. Gregory died early Thursday morning at Carter Moore Hospital after long illness. However, he had been hospitalized only about five days. He was native of Robertson County, Tenn., but had lived in Simpson for the past 21 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pearl Cummings Gregory; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Butt and Mrs. James Frank Travelstead, both of Simpson County; three sons, Elmore Gregory, Burton Gregory and John Wesley Gregory, all of Simpson County; six brothers, W. O. Gregory, Sumner County, Tenn., Ewing, Herbert and Raymond Gregory, all of Robertson County, Tenn. and Robert and Clarence Gregory of Simpson; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Stanley and Mrs. Ola Honeycutt, Sumner County, Tenn. and Mrs. Lula Bush, Nashville and seven grandchildren.

Gravesite Details
The stone says "Gregary", but the correct spelling was "Gregory". The family story is that Alvin wanted the stone spelled that way, because it was the European spelling.
