He was married to Christine Pirtle and the couple had 4 children. He was a WWII Veteran. His nephew, Flavil Odell Gregory, believed that Clarence served in the Pacific theatre. Would love to hear more particulars someday. He was a member of the Providence Baptist Church in Simpson County, Kentucky.

Gregory Clarence "Bill" Gregory, 75, of Franklin died Jan. 31, 1987, at Franklin-Simpson Memorial following a lengthy illness.
Services were held Feb. 2 at Booker Funeral Home. Burial was in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
A native of Robertson County, Tenn., he was the son of the late Benjamin and Mary Mirinda Dixon Gregory. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Christine Pirtle Gregory of Franklin; four daughters, Mary Francis Stewart of Cross Plains, Tenn., Margarie Anne Bagwell of Franklin, Gayle Gregory of Nashville, Tenn., and Linda Gregory of Franklin; one sister, Mrs. Lula Bush of Nashville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
