Mayzell Gregory Ragland wrote of Annie: Wesley, the oldest child of Ben and Marinda Gregory, was a young boy when Annie died. He had promised her a doll for Christmas but she died before then. He still wanted to keep his promise so he bought the doll and put it in the casket with her. She was almost two years old and Wesley was 13 years old. She is buried in an unmarked grave.
