Emma Katharine (née Kamrath) Bolton, born on 2 October 1872, in Silver Creek Township near Ponca in Dixon County, Nebraska and died on 16 March 1946, in Bloomfield, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Christian Friedrich Gottfried [von] Kamrath (1835-1918) known as "Gottfried Kamrath" in the U.S. and his first wife, Ernestine Wilhelmine "Minnie" Fredrike Rakow (1834-1882), who immigrated to the U.S. from Schönwalde in Hinter Pomerania, Prussia in 1867, and homesteaded in Dixon County, Nebraska. They are buried in the Silver Ridge Cemetery. After the death of her mother in 1882, and her father leaving for California in 1893, Emma married Noah Allen Bolton (1867-1944) in late 1895, at Ponca in Dixon County, Nebraska. Emma and Noah settled on a farm outside of Bloomfield in Knox County, Nebraska where they had the following nine children: Myrtle Odessa Bolton, William "Willie" Clifford Bolton, Gertrude Gale Bolton, Harvey Bolton, Mamie Florence Bolton, Roy Louis Bolton, Ida Rebecca Bolton, Lena Katherine Bolton, and Gladys Mildred Bolton.
