William Clifford Bolton, born on 26 February 1899, in Ponca, Dixon County, Nebraska – died on 5 January 1993 at Bloomfield, Knox County, Nebraska. He was a son of Noah Allen Bolton (1867-1944) and his wife, Emma Katherine Kamrath (1872-1946). William was the grandson of George Milton Bolton (1842-1918) and his wife, Rebecca Milvina Dinlap (1847-1915). His Bolton lineage can be traced back to Henry Bolton (c. 1700-1756) of Pennsylvania. William settled in Morton in Knox County, Nebraska and married on 6 July 1926, in Bloomfield, Knox County, Nebraska Ellen "Ella" M. McClain (1901-1984). They had five children.
