Son of the late Maurice and Kathryn Paul Short, Jackson, who survives. He was married on March 22, 1969, to Mrs. Luvell Powell. Mr. Short farmed in the Jackson area for a number of years, and taught school for some time in various places. He retired in 1975, while teaching in the Greenville R-2 school district.
