Last rites for Clarence W. Barton, 41, timberman, who resided on Route One, Winnfield, were held Saturday at the Sardis Church. Mr. Barton, who had been in ill health a long while, died from a heart attack at his home Thursday night.
Surviving are his wife and three children, Murrel, Lonnette, and Lavon; his father, Bill Barton, all of Route One, Winnfield; three brothers and three sisters, Bud Barton, Gaars Mill, John Barton, Gilbert, and Mack Barton, Mrs. Lena Shumate, Atlanta, Mrs. Ollie Barton, and Mrs. Bob Coburn, Packton.
Funeral services were conducted under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
