Nelda Houskeeper Ericksen, 69, died Thursday, August 17th in the Wyoming State Hospital in Evanston, Wyoming of Alzheimer's Disease. She was born in Milburn, Sanpete County, Utah, December 4, 1908, the daughter of James Edmond and Alice Houskeeper. She attended schools in Milburn, Fairview, Ephraim, and Mount Pleasant, Utah. She attended college at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah and Eastern Montana College in Billings, Montana. She taught school in Magne, Utah for 3 years and later in Lovell, Wyoming for 12 years. On May 22, 1931 she married Ralph A. Ericksen in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph; two daughters, Mrs. Ruel (Sherry) Brown of Butte, Montana and Mrs. Frank (Colleen) Allen of Hermiston, Oregon; four sons, Leon of North Hollywood, California, Barry of San Dimas, California, Gregory of Torrington, Wyoming, and Scott of Elk Mountain, Wyoming; two brothers, Max Houskeeper of SLC, Utah and Boyd Houskeeper of Southgate, California; four sisters, Mrs. DeLoy (Lenna) Ence and Mrs. Rex (Faun) Staker both of Provo, Utah, Mrs. N.D. (Faye) Stephens of SLC, Utah, and Mrs. LaRae McGovnee of Southgate, California; 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 22, 1978 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lovell, Wyoming L.D.S. Stake Chapel with Biship Keith Allred officiating. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery.
