James Hyrum Beddes, 66, died Friday, November 23, 1979 enroute to the North Big Horn Hospital in Lovell, of an apparent heart attack. He was born August 25, 1913 in Victor, Idaho, the son of Heber Booth Beddes and Amanda Jones. He married Sevella Whetstone August 13, 1938 in Basin, Wyoming. They have made their home in Lovell for the past 27 years coming from Denver, Colorado where they lived for four years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had worked for Big Horn County until approximately a year ago when he retired.

He is survived by his wife, Sevella, of Lovell; two sons, Lyle W. Beddes of Hunter, Utah, and Wayne Terry Beddes of Alamagordo, New Mexico; one daughter, Mrs. Carol Joyce B. Reynolds of Sheridan, Wyoming; six brothers, Heber Booth of Fresno, California, Arthur Wesley, Vern Elmer, Franklin, and Clinton all of Lovell, and Lynn J. of Cowley, Wyoming; two sisters, Mrs. LaVaughn Barker of Victor, Idaho and Mrs. Donna Mary Reynolds of Winchester, Tennessee; and 8 grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday, November 27, 1979 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lovell, Wyoming Stake Chapel with Bishop Larry Sessions officiating. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery.
