Arthur Wesley Beddes, 86, died Thursday, January 18, 1996 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Billings, Montana. He was born August 25, 1909 in Victor, Idaho, the son of Heber B. and Amanda Jones Beddes. When he was 21 years old, he came to Wyoming to find work. He met Aurelia Norton whom he married August 13, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They made their home in Lovell after their marriage.

Art spent many years working for the Wyoming Highway Department as a highway maintenance man eventually attaining the position of Maintenance Foreman. He was a dedicated and hard working employee.

His longtime companion and wife passed away December 4, 1995. He is survived by one son, Max Beddes of Penryn, California; two daughters, Betty Sorenson of Scottsdale, Arizona and Edna Kendall of Golden, Colorado; three brothers, Vern Beddes and Frank Beddes of Lovell, and Lynn Beddes of Cowley; one sister, Donna Reynolds of Winchester, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. His oldest sister, LaVaugn Barker passed away Saturday, January 20, in Rexburg, Idaho.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 22, 1996 at 10:00 a.m. in the Lovell L.D.S. Stake Center with Brent Reasch officiating. Burial was in the Lovell Cemetery. Haskell Funeral Home had been in charge of arrangements.
