Mrs. Ethel M Harris, 77, Ridgeville route 2, died Thursday, April 29 following a lingering illness.
Mrs. Harris was born September 23, 1894 in Jackson Township, the daughter of James and Mary L Keever Byrum and was a lifelong Randolph county resident.
Surviving are the husband, Oscar; four sons, Rexford, Isom, Bob and Norval, all of Winchester, three daughters, Mrs. Thurman Garringer of Winchester, Mrs. Robert Ramsey of Converse and Mrs. Byron Flesher of Portland; 25 grandchildren and25 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ray Byrum of Saratoga and William Byrum of Union city; two sisters, Mrs. William Fraze of Winchester and Mrs. Claude Rose of Union City.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Walker Funeral Home, Winchester with Rev. Marcell Thornburg officiating. Burial will be in the Lawndale Cemetery, Ridgeville.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday until the hour of the service.
