James W Byrum, age 71, died earlier Tuesday morning at his home, six miles northwest of Union City. He had been ill with heart trouble for over a year. Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Saratoga U. B. church with the Rev. G. H. Barker in charge. Burial will be made in the Saratoga cemetery. Surviving are the wife, four daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Baird of Richmond; Mrs. Minnie Fraze and Mrs. Ethel Harris, of Winchester; and Mrs. Wava Rose of Union City; four sons, Dora and Roy, of Winchester; Orla, of Greenville, Ohio, and William, of Union City; two brothers, Isaac, of Union City, and Lorenzo, of Sturgis, Michigan; a sister, Mrs. Hannah Shaw, of Saratoga.
