REV. WILLIAM BUCK
---Died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E. E. Baldwin, on Feb. 24, 1909, Rev. William Buck, aged 78 years, 4 months and 12 days.
---He was born in Athens county Ohio, October 13, 1831. Was married to Miss Eliza Howard in 1851. To this union were born five children. His wife died in 1860.
---He was converted to the faith of the U. B. Church in his youth and soon felt the call to the ministry and received a license to preach in the U. B. Church of which he has been faithful until his death.
---He came from Ohio to Macon county Mo. about thirty years ago.
---He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Ida Baldwin and Mrs. Eva Tucker, all of Macon county, Mo. He was the grandfather of eleven children and eleven great-grandchildren.
---The funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church in La Plata conducted by Rev. R. W. Keller who stood by his side during his suffering, administering to his wants, both in words and deeds for the comfort of the soul. R. W. D.
