Margaret (In the family Bible, her name was spelled Margret)was the daughter of Robert & __(Gibson) ALEXANDER in Air Township, in what was then Bedford County, PA. but since about 1852 has been Fulton Co. She married James CONNER,22 August 1839, in Air Twp.,Bedford Co.,PA. She had one son, Robert A. CONNER.
In 1870, Margaret was boarding at her sister-in-law Eliza Alexander's home. Margaret died April 30, 1877, shortly before her 82nd birthday. She was buried May 2, 1877, in Big Spring Cemetery, Ayr Township, Bedford Co (now Fulton Co.) PA.
Her Will, dated 10 April 1877 (Fulton Co. Will Bk 1, p423, McConnellsburg,PA) mentioned step-children James and William CONNER and Mary (CONNER)SNIDER; also mentions nieces Susan J. ALEXANDER and Martha M. ALEXANDER of IOA, (sic) daughters of her sister Ann ( ALEXANDER) ALEXANDER.
