Mrs. Fred Priest
Mrs. Laura Priest, 68, widow of Dr. Fred Preist, died at 11:15 p.m. Sunday in her home, 88 South 3rd Street. She had been in failing health two years and seriously ill a month.
Born Dec. 20, 1992, in Eden Township, she was the daughter of Alex and Martha (Levingston) Jones, and lived all of her life in Newark and vicinitiy.
Her first husband was Frank Wilson, whom she married in 1901, and in 1931, she married Dr. Fred Priest, a veterinarian, who died May 2, 1948. Two sisters, survive: Mrs. Dora Swick and Mrs. Alma Chester, both of Newark.
The body is at the Gutliph & Henderson Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Homer Ritchie officiating. Burial will be made in Hanover Cemetery.
