Hubert Albert Whitaker
Hubert Albert Whitaker, 78, of 125 Roby, died Friday in a Topeka hospital. He was born July 12, 1874, in Severy, Kan., and had lived in Shawnee County most of his life. He was a former sheet metal worker for the Santa Fe Railroad Co., and a member of the Trinity Methodist Church.
He is survived by five sons, Earl, Percy, Frank, Hugh and Charles Whitaker, all of Topeka; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald Cauldwell, Sedan, and Mrs. James Goenour, Topeka; a brother, Will Whitaker, Fullerton, Calif.; two sisters, Miss Sally and Miss Gertrude Whitaker, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home with burial in Lynn Creek Cemetery.
