Mrs. Hubert Whitaker

Services for Mrs. Minnie M. Whitaker, 71, of 125 Roby, wife of Hubert Whitaker, who died Saturday in a local hospital, will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral home, with burial in Lynn Creek cemetery.

She was born in Uniontown August 15, 1877, and had been a resident of Topeka and vicinity since her marriage to Mr. Whitaker 51 years ago. They were married in Georgetown, Mo., and observed their golden wedding anniversary July 20, 1948. She was a member of the Methodist church in Uniontown.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James Goenour of Topeka and Mrs. Dorothy Cauldwell of Sedan; five sons, Earl, Frank, Hugh, Percy, and Charles of Topeka; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Hoskins of Whittier, Calif., and Mrs. Flossie Meyers of Rupert, Ida.; a brother, Theodore Crosby of Mountain View, Ok.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
