ISAAC GILLHAM
Isaac Gillham was born in Indiana on September 27, 1837, and departed this life on May 3, 1912, aged 76 years, 7 months and 4 days.
Deceased had been in ill health for some time, although the immediate cause of his death was paralysis.
He was united in marriage to Nancy Jane Jennings on Dec. 10, 1858, who died Jan. 24, 1899. To this union were born 14 children, 11 of these survive. They are Mrs. A. W. Dyer, Mrs. F. M. Cook, Mrs. C. E. Clowser, Edmund E., Arthur N., Ira N., and Alsia A., who reside in Lucas county; Mrs. A. W. Morris, of Brooks, Iowa; Mrs. W. R. McKinley, of Farmington, Ia.; Mrs. E. D. Waitball, of Appanoose county and Jesse C. of Dubuque.
He leaves to mourn the loss of a kind and loving father 11 children, 32 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
On March 27, 1900, he was again united in marriage to Mrs. Ellen Johnson, who died Dec. 26, 1910.
When a young man, he united with the Christian church and remained a steadfast believer in Christ until God saw fit to call him to his reward.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Baugh at the Christian church in this city, after which the body was interred in the Russell cemetery.
