Wilfred Buer 1923-2003

Wilfred Orville Buer, 79, of Gonvick died on Monday, May 26, 2003 at the Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook.
He was born July 8, 1923 at Gonvick, the son of zOle and Inga (Furuseth) Buer. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Gonvick. He attended the Lincoln School and the Wolden School through eighth grade.
Wilfred enjoyed hunting and trapping, reading the Bible, and riding bicycle. He liked owls and was known for his exceptional memory.
He is survived by his two sisters, Ann Goldbloom and Sylvia Carlson; his brother, Lawrence Buer, all of Gonvick; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Ellen Wood and three brothers, Manley, Peter and Olaf.
Funeral services were held May 30 in the chapel of the Good Samaritan Center. Interment was at the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Gonvick.
