The son of Adam Butcher and Frances "Jane" Tillet, "Willie" married Hannah Vint on 28 Aug 1880.

Willie's sister, Emma, married Hannah's brother, John E. Vint, on 19 Sep 1880. Willie and Hannah were the witnesses at their siblings' wedding.

Hannah died in 1886 at the age of 23.

Children from first marriage: None.

After Hannah's death, Willie married Mary Jane Hays on 14 Apr 1887 in Monroe County, Indiana. They were the parents of 5 children, and he worked as a farmer.

Children from second marriage: 3 sons, 2 daughters.

Willie died of chronic kidney disease 3 days after his 62nd birthday. He was survived by his second wife, Mary Jane.

Burial was on 10 Jun 1922.

Willie's widow, Mary Jane, later married James William Carothers. She passed away in 1956 and was buried next to Willie.
