A private family funeral service for Ellen Simmonds will be held in Selene and Eros Mortuary Wednesday. Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows Memorial Park. Mrs. Simmonds born in Irwin, Shelby County, Iowa on March 13, 1894. She married Ernest L. Simmonds on July 10, 1910 in Hiawatha, Kansas. The family came to Bucoda in May 1929. Mrs. Simmonds Moved to Olympia in 1964. Surviving are two sons, Wallace and Ray, both of Olympia; four brothers, Wilbur, Severt, Henry and Purl, all in Minnesota. She also has two sisters, Sara Bosshart, Minn.; and Hazel Teesink, Morengo, Ill.; also six grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.
At the services on August 8th, 1979 at 1:00 P.M. Officiating was Dr. Henry S. Rahn. The Organist was Mrs. Carl Wheeler. Soloist was JoAnn Fast,songs were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden"
