Death Takes Local Woman
Mrs. Arvilla Golden McQueen, 88, 2130 Cherry st., died early Wednesday morning in St. Elizabeth hospital after an extended illness.
She was born October 14, 1868, in Red Oak, Ia, and came to Baker with her husband, George D. McQueen, in 1912. Mr. McQueen died in August, 1953.
Mrs McQueen was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church. She is survived by a grandson, Wesley Johnson, Baker, and three granddaughters in other states.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Beatty chapel. Internment will be in Mount Hope cemetery.
