George McQueen Funeral Wednesday
Funeral services were held Wednesday for George David McQueen, 93, of 2130 Cherry Street, who died Sunday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Hospital, after a long illness.
He was born March 20, 1860, in Illinois.
He was married to Arvilla G. Allen in September, 1901, at Red Oak, Ia., where he operated a drayage business for many years.
Mr. McQueen came to Baker 42 years ago. He was a long-time employee of Oregon Lumber Company. He had retired the past 22 years.
He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors are the widow; sister, Mrs. Della Wolfe, of Akron, Colo., a grandson, three granddaughters, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. An only daughter, Wilma Ruth Johnson, died in 1940.
Arrangements were made by the Beatty chapel with interment in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
