My dad was born to Tom and Emily Dawe, the middle of two children in Cobalt, far northern Ontario, Canada. He was a hard worker all his life, loved his family, and cared for those around him. He had a beautiful voice and sang in church. He loved photography; many of his shots have survived. He loved travel and adventure and sought life in Alaska several times. I feel my son and I inherited his wanderlust. I was proud to call him Dad.

Dad was born Percival Arthur, but had two Uncle Percy's. When he went into business for himself, he legally changed his name to Arthur P. Dawe. He was called Red or Art most of his life even by his mother.
