Morris Opal "Sparkie" Reynolds of Bedford, IN, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington, IN. Born on October 12, 1921, he was the son of James M. and Minnie (Patton) Reynolds. He married Ruby Fullen on September 24, 1949, and she preceded him in death in 1992.

Surviving are one daughter, Vonda Reynolds of Bedford, IN; one step-daughter, Mrs. Jack (Marcella) Sears of Bedford, IN; one step-son, Harold "Butch" Turpin of Bedford; four sisters: Dolly Gaddy of Charlotte, NC, Mrs. Ralph (Ruby) Parenti of Cicero, IL, Mrs. Jim (Linabeth) McPherson of Shoals, IN, and Dorothy Paupot of Bedford, IN; three brothers: Noble Reynolds of Oolitic, IN, Thomas Reynolds of Mitchell, IN, and James E. Reynolds of Needmore, IN; six grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one brother, Arley Milford Reynolds; and four sisters, Juanita Atterbury, Mildred Wood, Marie Beock, and Josephine Farris.

He was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Army. He retired from General Motors in 1978, and was of the Nazarene faith.

Services for Morris Reynolds will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2002, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Pastor Brian Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.
