Born Sept. 3, 1923, in Lawrence County, he was the son of James M. and Minnie Pearl (Patton) Reynolds. He married Lois E. Boruff and she died April 28, 2004.
He retired as a crane operator at NWSC Crane. He had worked for Howard Crulo Trucking Co. in Avoca for many years and was a member of the Men's Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post No. 1686 of Oolitic.
Survivors include three sons, Brian C. Reynolds and wife Debbie of Avon, Ronnie Reynolds of Lawrence County, and Darrel Reynolds of Nevada; three daughters, Karen Marcella Prince and husband John of Idaho, Rachel Bryant and husband Roger of California, and Carolyn Bartelson and husband Bob of Kentucky; four sisters, Lina E. McPherson and husband Jim of Shoals, Dolly Gaddy of North Carolina, Dorothy Philpot of Judah and Ruby Reynolds of Bedford; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; four sisters, Juanita Atteberry, Mildred Wood, Marie Boeck and Josephine Farris; four brothers, Morris "Sparkie" Reynolds, George Thomas Reynolds, James Earl Reynolds and Arlie Milford Reynolds (in infancy).
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Jeff Hauersperger officiating. Burial will follow in the Patton Hill Cemetery.
