GILMAN - Hazel M. Fordyce, 83, of Gilman, died Thursday (Nov. 7, 1996) at the Gilman Nursing Home.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Sunday until the 3:30 p.m. services at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Gilman.

Burial will be in Wenger Cemetery, Gilman.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.


She was born Sept. 20, 1913 in LaClede, Ill., the daughter of Charles and Iva Fry Chase.

Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Joseph and Marjorie Fordyce and Gerald and Theresa Fordyce, all of Watseka, and Michael J. Fordyce of Pontiac; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Chase of Kankakee; four sisters, Fern Burke of Bradley, Mary Louise Harrison of Bloomington, Ind., Pauline Goldsby of Gilman and Betty Olena of Crown Point, Ind.

Deceased are one brother, Robert and one sister, Virginia Pree.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Gilman.

Mrs. Fordyce had worked at Western Condenser of Watseka, Gilman Dress Factory, the Dutch Mill Restaurant and Mize Tavern, all in Gilman.
