John H. Long, aged 57, a resident of Thurston county for the past four years, passed away at the family home at Chambers Lake at an early hour yesterday. The deceased was born in Greenup county, Kentucky, March 25, 1861, later moving to Illinois, where on August 18, 1880, he was united in marriage to Miss Deborah Jane Cantrell, who survives him.
Besides the widow, Mr. Long leaves four sons, William Everett, of Kansas; Milton H., Ansel Ray and Alvia M., of this county, and two daughters, Mrs. Stella Blackman, of Olympia, and Mrs. Urania McDaniel, of Kansas.
Funeral services will be held from the Jesse T. Mills chapel Friday morning at 11 o'clock, and will be under the auspices of the I.O.O.F. lodge, of which the deceased was member, with interment in I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
